We may or may not be headed toward a depression as seen in the early thirties, but this definitely is not a very good sign of which direction our economy is headed. I hope things get better soon. BTW: This article is separate from banking bailout and has been occurring before the most recent banking difficulties.

  2. There are a few of those here in Fredericksburg. More than you'd expect. They all show up on Thursdays at one of the churches for a free spaghetti dinner. These two old people who've been living here since the 70's go and yell at them. It's pretty entertaining, in a dirty, sick way.

That's pretty uncool. While some choose to be in that situation, not all do.

  4. The hardest part of it is that you hear these two old people cussing out some homeless guy, and you want to go and beat them down. But I guess they're old, and that's how it is. Fredericksburg is a nice place on the surface, but once you go deep, you can see all the weird stuff that's going on here.
