I need a little help w/ some terminology I've been seeing...

What's the difference between a WET signal & DRY signal?

I've been spending alot of time over at BT, listening to alot of diff pre's listed over there... one I came across was the Raven Labs PHA-1... Someone used this terms in a post concerning this unit & I had NO idea, *** it meant.

a wet signal is after someone pours beer on your amp

ok, a wet signal is your signal after effects, a dry signal is before effects
a lot of amps like swr and raven have a blend knob so you can mix the 2 together as some effects can kill your low end - by mixing the effected signel with the dry one you can some up with a "best of both worlds" tone

Thx, I'm aware of the effects, & why you'd want to blend... I just wasn't aware of the term...
