Thank God for Talkbass...

  1. I just read this on the mxtabs.net forum :rollno:

    some quotes :

a 10 second clip from a 20 minute solo. oh boy.

hey Dave Grossman, maybe if you didn't have your hand up your niece's skirt you could've recorded a bit more.

    I didn't liked it :s...

I'm not a fan of chords on bass, except for the ones Jaco did (They always sounded so.... fluent, like it was really one note that got hit, unlike his' which just sound like a bunch of random notes).

I'm not a fan of the 11-stringed bass... Hell, I barely like 6 strings, let alone 11. It's way too much, and way too "Look at me! I have to compensate my peepee place with a neck that is wider than my house!"

Different strokes for different folks. I don't like them, I said it before. I have my ideas of what is good, and an 11-stringed bass isn't one. It's too ****ing much. The next thing I know, the next bass Jean plays will have some congas falling down from the neck so he can play them with his feet and become a 1-man marching band.

then they start attacking Dave Grossman

    Hey, Dave-guess what? You're a douche bag.

"Omg u made fun of my friendzz lawlzor OMG LETZ HEER UR STUFF OMG I BET U SUXXOR LAWL!"

Seriously, shut the **** up. The video was posted, we "commented" on what we saw. You don't like it? Too ****ing bad, dickweed.

Time to engage in that magical little waste of time many people refer to as "growing up." Kthx, goodbye.

Thanks Paul for creating this great site... you defnitely realize how great this fourm is when you read something like this :meh:

TB is like the ultimate forum experience, or something...

There's a lot of diversity in age here, too. Our members go from 12 to +50. That helps a lot.

The diversity is very important imo. There are so many great people here :)

Alot of the posters in the linked thread sound like jerks. The TB community seems MUCH more mature in comparison.

And this maturity produced The Qintar thread. Unbelievable!

Fear of a midnight visit by the Qintar is what keeps me from behaving like that here on TB... ;)

Heh... Jean is Noob! we all are...

    Noob ................................. Perfect bass player
    |----------------------------------|-|

There is no person in the world nor will there ever be who is "perfect" their for we are all noobs... As soon as you "become" non-noob (or perfect) you become non-bass player as you no long can grow. IE i am a perfect chelio player because i can never make a mistake on chelio. Because i dont play it i can never be bad at it.

I geuss its on line of aristotle... if you know that you dont know anything then you know more then person doesnt know that...

    Jean is great btw... :)

so is talkbass... i lub you guys...

Between chat lines, a couple of forums, and yafro, myspace.. etc..

By far we are the best community out there... I'm also a member of a forum for work.. and while people keep it professional, it's still much more antangonistic than this place is.

I love TalkBass... almost got me fired from work :D

No, that way we risk a bunch of MX teenagers registering here, with the sole purpose of turning TB into Mx forums.

  18. Hate to dissapoint you Vorago but quite a few are on TB already, myself included. The MX thread posted was the worst I've seen in quite a while, the Sade character is sort of the MX antagonist and for whatever reason enjoys his role.

Without MX I wouldn't have found TB.

I'm on MX as well but i also realise that TB is a more mature forum and that my posts have to be a bit more sensible. you just got to no what is appropriate and how to act.

What I meant is that I've seen it before, one forum bashes another one, other forum takes revenge by "flooding" the first forum etc etc.
