  1. First games of the year on ESPN2 tonight

    First Blues game Friday Night

I have no high hopes for the Blues this year, I'm just glad its hockey season again!!!

Death to Dallas, Detroit and Vancouver, heh.

    I love hockey season :D

I called up and ordered the NHL Center Ice package yesterday. More hockey than I can shake a skate at :p

sadly I have to work 4-12 tonight, so I won't see any opening night games.

I'll have to catch NHL2Night later on.

    Gotta love the Minnesota Wild
  7. Go Canucks! Canadians too, just cuz they're my hometown team. But I just don't have high hopes for them. So go Vancouver!
  8. Meh, I personally preferred the North Stars! :D

Is that the Dallas stars or the Minnesota Stars?
  10. They were the Minnesota North Stars until around 1991 when they moved to Dallas and simply became the Stars.

Trust me, I'm a big fan(still have season tix for the local AHL team here); damn, the season just ended...didn't it?

Sorry, IMO, we would all see 'better quality' hockey if the season was cut back to 50 games.
More rest + less injuries + more meaningful games = "gooder".

    In any event-
'Nuther 2nd place finish behind the Devils.
'Nuther 1st Round exit for my boyz.

Even though the Oilers are my home town team, and I used to be a huge NHL fan... I'm not anymore. Since I'm 99% sure the Oilers have no hope in hell of getting into the playoffs, I'm not gonna waste my time.

Besides, 82 regular season games is a major DRRRAAAAGGG. Best of 13 in the playoffs and between 40 and 50 season games would be awesome!:D
