"Heavy Hitting Drummer" is code for "can only play stoopid loud so **** you".

  5. Hey, some bands want heavy hitting drummers. I'm sure there are more than a few of these drummers waiting around to start banging away at some head banging songs and bands ready to hire them.
In the music business, there is room for every kinda genre out there from polka to metal and folk to hip hop.
That doesn't mean they are all talented though.

Well, breaking the drum kit during the audition is supposedly why The Who hired Keith Moon...

The first time I played with a drummer who knew how to lay in, and out, I thought I'd died and gone to heaven. Prior to that every drummer I'd ever experienced was apparently channelling Bonzo.
