    hey mike
i just performed your arrangment of autumn leaves for am A-level Recitial (i'm in england), and people loved it, its a great arrangemet of a classic tune !

i wondered if you'v got any more such arrangments of ANY kind of music that arn't on your site, perhaps incorperating a high C (just got my high fiver :)

    thanks again

    *Si*

    p.s.

You are very welcome. I am glad you were able to use it.

I do have more arrangements, but there are problems making them public due to licensing. "misty" is also at the bassically.net lesson site.

Use the techniques from Autumn Leaves and try to develop your own.I think that is the purpose of the book "The Chordal Approach" to lend an idea of how to create your own. That way I can enjoy them as well.

I just recieved an MP3 of In A Sentimental Mood from someone who bought my book and it inspired him to create his own stuff - NOW THAT IS EXCITING. Take a tune, give it a try. I'm here to help

    Mike

ps as for the high C - I am a dinosaur. I was visiting yesterday with Michael Tobias, trying to play some of his 5's. How lost I felt.

cool, i wasn't aware of the book 'The Chordal Approach', i'll probly order that at some point, i love chordal playing, and definatly is a nice break from just playing single notes an a band!

does 'The Chordal Approach' include, dare i ask, TAB?....sorry :)

i know what u mean by feeling lost, the five is great, the high C almost felt it shoulda been there all along :)...but any 6er i'v tried i just got all muddled amd lost on it :)

    have a good christmas!

Merry Christmas to you as well.

Yes, the book does include TAB. In the next few weeks when my CD is released I will be offering a book/CD bundle price.

sorry to keep asking stuff :)
but i wondered how long it would take to deliver either the CD and/or the Chordal book to England, would it be unrealistic to expect it b4 christmas?

oh and i just downloaded 'Big Droppins' from mp3.com, very cool, one day i shall be this good.....oh yes, one day!!!! HAHAHAHAHA...hmmmmm

Christmas would probably be pushing it for the book and out for the CD -I am still waiting for delivery of the CD. I would hesitate to make any promises.

    Dave,

I am glad that you're playing Misty and even happier that it sounds different. The arrangements that I presented are more a guide that written in stone. It is cool that you have made it yours.

My book is hard to find in stores. It is sold in a few Bass Boutiques across the county. I do, however, ship worldwide. Or perhaps if you have an address you'll be staying at in the states during Christmas I could ship it to you there.

My new CD will be released the week after Christmas and I'll be offering a book and CD bundle. Get both and save some money

just thought i'd let anyone know, theres another Autumn Leaves lesson on the Bassically site, its a 2 handed tapping excersise, but i though i'd try and incoperate it into Mike's arrangemnt.

oh yeah, and mike, how much does your Boomerang go for?? ;)

happy and seasonal greetings from across the pond
