i have recently bought a behringer bx600 i think. well its 60 watts
the volume is out of 12 along with the bass
i had both on 3 (a quarter of the way ) and i played the open string and it did a distorted sound not because of an effect i dont use effects i think the bass is good enough on its own.
can anyone tell me why it did this i thought i had over loded it but i played it just one string and it still did it. its got a low enough frequency for bass because it is made for the bass
    but why does this happen?
  2. Is your bass active? Perhaps change the battery.

If not it could be more of a electronics problem in say the amp. I will shift this to amps and see what suggestions they come up with. If its a bass thing.... send it back here!
