I get you. I use a Boss LS-2 for my clean blend with dirt and it works well for me. But if I could only keep one non utility fx pedal it would still be my Bass Clone. That said I really like the way BFD sounds (on the vids I've listened to) and feel it would work well on my modest board.Obviously I love it because I put it on this list, but honestly I think it's because of the X-Blender. I don't run multi-amps so I don't run clean and dirt. With that I don't necessarily care for drive/distortion without being able to get a clean signal back on top. It's actually kind of nice having the X-Blender because right now the drive is at 50% gain, but the blend is sitting at 75% dry so I get just a nice little taste of the drive with my clean signal.
