    Edit:

I just expanded them to 5 year intervals so there will be less threads.

    I have:
    1965-1969
    1970-1974
    1975-1979
    1985-1989
    1995-1999

    we still need:
    Before 1950
    1950-1954
    1955-1959
    1960-1964
    1980-1984
    1990-1994
    2000-2004
    2005-2009

Each year should have its own thread so that we can see what was being made when.

I opened 5 threads for years though I could have done more (1997, 1989, 1979, 1971, 1969.) Feel free to start your own year thread if the year hasn't been done yet and if you are/were the owner of the pictured bass for that year. So we will be waiting or the 1951 thread to open when someone here who owns one makes the thread... after that any pics of anyone's bass is fair game.

Tell us as much as you know about your bass and provide pics.

Here is a Washburn Status Series 1000 from 1989. Washburn was not a mass-producing behemoth at the time when they made these. It is a FANTASTIC BASS.

  2. Those are fantastic basses, I just sold mine. Didn't get played due to the lack of a low B.

That is amazing. Those basses are held in high regard, even among Status Afficionados! If it's anywhere near as good as my Status, you've got a fantastic bass there!

    1989 Barrington, pink of course!

Honestly they best bass I have ever played. I got it new in 89, when I had to dump my fender jazz special fretless for a bass with frets. I had the choice between a midnight blue and pink. The pink was over $200 cheaper. took the pink, and never looked back!
