The absolute rarest Rickenbacker seen in the wild

I believe they made 125 of these, some in 8 string. Also called the Redneck or Bloodstar. Similar in construction to the Tuxedo and Blackstar basses.

 

There are three, three different models?

 

I see that trio of red/black/white show up only rarely in Ric conversations. Probably one of the most unique special runs in the company's history.

 

Not sure, but it pops up here every once in a while. A board search might help.

there are a few white ones currently available on reverb, ebay and/or craigslist. i forget where i saw them.

 

I love the redneck and its very funky siblings, bit I believe that the 4005/6 six-string bass is rarer.

 

That's still a pretty cool thing to spot.
