Ummmmm, that speaker on the left doesn't quite fill the opening. That's really going to hurt the low end, and if you're going to use it as a bass amp that would not be good. It's gonna sound pretty bad. If it's real cheap, maybe use it as a head and get a cabinet to use with it?

I actually just SOLD mine today for almost what I paid for it a year ago when I picked mine up at the 2010 July 4th sale.

Why would I sell it?......

..... Because Friday night I bought the B450 Combo I've been wanting!:hyper:

I actually got Musician's Friend to match Guitar Center's 4th of July special "in-store" price flyer they sent out. In Florida, that means I got a new B450 for only $449 (no taxes!) -- AND I got them to ship it for free!

Can't wait until it gets here Thursday....:bassist:

if I woulda had more funds available, I could have got the B450 as well, but am sure I'll be very content with my B200 (which I got for $299).

If this has been discussed before, I apologise. I've been looking for an extention cab to attach to my B100. The issue I have is in the manual, it says you can attach either a b410 or a b115. Is this important or is it just a marketing technique by acoustic to get people to buy their product? In other words, can I just attach any cabinet onto it?

Any extension cab with 8Ω will work - but try to duplicate the size speaker you currently have for the best results.

The series extension speaker jack provides an output for an additional cabinet such as the Acoustic® B115 or B410.

'Such as' is a suggestion, not a rule.

Let us know how that B450 sounds!!!! I have been eye one for the last year or so!!!!!

p.s. the Fender you sold me last year is still rockin!!!! But it has a couple chips in it now from being dropped :crying: but it adds to her character!! Thanks again for hooking me up!

Glad to hear that Zone Bass is being put to good use!

Actually, I was a bit disappointed today when UPS delivered the B450 amp... box was kinda beat up (uh-oh)....

I opened it up and there were some dings and torn tolex: one along the back edge of the amp compartement (1" long), one along the back vertical corner edge (1" long), and an indentation into the MDF cabinet wall near that last tolex tear :crying:

UPS gave me a number to call if I wanted to file a claim.

Instead I called Musician's Friend... they said that if I kept it, they would lower the price from $449 to $399. I said if it fires up and works fine, done deal (I can repair the tolex with some glue pretty easily). They gave me the credit with instructions to call back if it doesn't work....

...So not sure I can still file a claim with UPS, if I'm keeping it... anybody got any experience with filing claims for damaged goods with UPS?

So I get home fire it up, and I hear a "pop" when I strike a note... most notes (pitches) in fact. But only the first note in a series, like I'm asking the cone of the driver to do too much to overcome inertia. The rest of the 8th notes in a series typically don't pop. But if I rest for a half note, then play, the first note pops again. Now, I do play with a lot of attack, and this happens only when I play that way... if I play softly, no pop.

I was thinking I'm clipping it somehow, but the gain is set to 9 o' clock, as well as the volume, and the clip indicator light isn't lighting up.

I tighten the screws holding the amp in (slightly loose), pull the screen off and check the speaker screws (already snug).

Still popping. :bawl:

So, Joe, I remember your post (above) about the spade connectors. Is this what you were hearing with your problem?

I'm hoping that is all it is and I can fix it up tonight, 'cause I don't wanna send it back..... but would like to hear back from you about what you were hearing before I fully pull the drivers.

I'll look for your response here (no PM sent to you).
