the age old question: mutron 3+ vs mutron 3

    What would I loose in terms of quality if i were to get the mutron 3+ as opposed to the original mutron 3? Thanks a lot, nate

    I own both and thought my re-issue was THE s**t until plugging into the real thing. My 'Tron III+ now sounds weak, anemic, small....silly and just plain boring. The original is huge, fat, punchy, corpulent; NO comparison. The new one is very well built with great components and all. What you hear about the old one being noisy and delicate just doesn't hold water in my experiance. Mine is dead quiet and very cool. I just bought an (original)AC-powered Mutron III with an internal power supply and will probably unload my original to pay for it. It sounds amazing though.
