The American Standard

Discussion in 'Basses [BG]' started by Rafterman, Jul 20, 2001.

  1. i went to Guitar Center yesterday and i tried out the Fender American Jazz Bass. I must say one thing about this bass...WOW!...it has a fairly wide variety of tones and it has a lot of output for a passive bass. I was surprised to get a very meaty, bassy tone from it also. It even had a really good slap tone.

Oh yeah....IT WAS A FOUR STRING BASS...not a five string or a six string bass.

and i'm not doing it for punk!!!

    i'm gonna buy that bass

Ok, you like the bass. What do you mean "it's a 4 string & I'm not using it for punk"? If you like the bass, why should it matter how many strings or what you're gonna use it for? I have 4 J-basses & I don't use em for jazz. Does that make a difference why I bought it. :) No I bought them & built them because that is wht I liked.

If you buy it, congrats on the new bass.
