    Quick question here:

On a 34" scale bass, with 20 frets, how much space is there between the end of the neck and the front of the bridge in which you place the pickups?

    Thanks for any help. :)

    Bump for one last chance.

  3. Well I guess this could vary from neck to neck. But on a 34'' scale instrument there is 34 inches between the nut and the back of the bridge. I guess that if you take your neck and measure it from nut to heel an substract that distance from 34 inches, you'll get the remaining lenght you need to have between your neck pocket and your bridge.

Whatever sounds good to you, there is no "magic" spot. More fundemental in the ratio? Move toward the neck, more Harmonic in the ratio? Move toward the bridge.
