    Hey either that or once we get to 2008, we go back down again. Once we get to the bottom, go back up again etc etc...

    Let's see how many times we can do this.

    good idea but there are so many basses in 1 year ppl can post a lot of say 1976 basses.

    If the book says 1963 I am 100% sure its a misprint. P basses came out in 1951 and if it is only serial number 935 then it is definitely an early one. Look up fender serial numbers you will see that any instrument from the 60s either had an L serial number or 5 numbers to it.

    Each year should have it's own thread but the catch is that you have to own (or previously) the first bass listed to open the thread. So we probably won't have all the threads from the 50s for awhile.

    I opened 1969, 1971, 1979, 1989, and 1997 though i could have done more.

    The book DOES say 1963 ...
