What do you guys think are both of their best albums from a bass player's standpoint???...i know they both have many albums, but I dont have the means really to go through all their albums....so what do you guys think??
Two legendary bands...heres a few of my favorite albums from each... Stones: Aftermath Let it Bleed Sticky Fingers Get Yer Ya-Ya's Out Exile on Main Street Beatles: Revolver the White Album Abbey Road Magical Myster TOur Sgt. Pepper's Edit: Ok, I didn't really answer your question...but IMO, theres too much great stuff by those bands for me to narrow it down to 2 best albums. If I had to choose I'd say the White album, and Let it Bleed.
From a "bass" point-of-view? I think I can honestly say nothing from The Stones, bass-wise, has ever floated my boat. 43% did mention some great Stones' records, though. Beatles? As a kid, "Paperback Writer", "Rain", & "Come Together" stuck out. Later, it was tunes like "All My Loving", "I Saw Her Standing There", "Hey Bulldog", "Something", etc. I'm no fan of "Greatest Hits" albums... Maybe you need both of those Past Masters cds?
