I was just wondering what ya think the best bass out there is in your opinion.
Arguably, no single "best bass" exists. There are MANY, MANY great basses out there, and each one has unique characteristics that other great basses may lack. The key is to find the one that "does it" for you personally.
One person's dream ax might be another's nightmare. Best suggestion is to get out to the stores and play every bass to make your own judgment.
I'd suggest reading through any number of threads here in "Basses" before posting a topic like this.
Too many world class basses out there.
There is NO Best bass.
Every bass sucks.
You just got to find the one that sucks less for you.
Wow...I'm havin' the biggest case of Deja Vu!!!!....
Feels like I've been here before.
Big LOL here!
Sorry if I come across as a bit terse in my first post up there, but this really does get asked about every three days or so.
Also, I moved your pickup thread to the correct forum...
People people people...
Of COURSE there is a best bass!
Modulus is best. Whee.
Hands down the best. It's just that not all of us know it yet. Seriously.

It depends what you're going to use the bass for. The Vox Teardrop shaped bass is, in my opinion, the best bass that can double as a canoe paddle...
Let me ask you this, Rage. What do you think is the best bass?
There's a guy in my Media Studies class who plays Bass, and every time someone say the letter P he goes all drooly...
P-Bass... Precision... mmmmmmmmmmmm... drool...
He has a very wet desk.
Oh, and the best bass? *cough*Nashville*cough*
Did I say that?
The best bass is the Lakland 55-94 Deluxe.
The best bass is the one that, when you strap it on, fits like a glove in your hands, and makes you sound like God when you play it. 'Nuff said.
That usually happens when you strap on a 55-94 Deluxe. 'Nuff said, now.
How does God sound??
What Amp does God use??
Maybe we can jam with him sometime to feel the godly "Tone"
How does GOD sound???? Gee....haven't you ever heard thunder????.....
Sure, but the thunder we had around here last night had too much treble. The EQ was a little off. Plenty of volume, though....
