    hi, im looking to upgrade to a new bass that is:
    a 4 stringer,
    works for metal and is good for handling downtuning,
    looks good,
    is suitable for an intermediate player doing gigs,
    does not go above £500 in price.

    ill be greatful for good brands, models, whatever you can give.

    just about any ibanez bass, or esp. though i would deffently go for the ibanez, i own one and play a friends all the time and they are great cheep basses. amazing versitility and playability, they also look hot.

    ive been looking at an epiphone thunderbird or esp f-104/254 and i like ibanez but cant find a suitable model

    I belive you could find an Ibanez ATK400.... Easily below 600 pounds
