I think I have found three good fours, and I mean that. A fretless would round things out nicely! :)

Celinder Vintage P, US Lakland Deluxe 4-94, Wal Mach I

The Wal is a 1987 with hoduran Mahogany facings that were made from the steps of an old English manor. It is medium weight and plays and sounds like a dream. :bassist:

I think there is a matching fretless made from the same chunk of wood out there somewhere, now wouldn't that be sweet!

I'm sure somebody has three "better" fours, but I can't imagine what they could be! Do you have any fives or sixes?

    'better' is subjective.

I put "better" in quotes to indicate that I understood that such judgements between instruments revolves more around taste than objective difference. For instance, I'm sure there are people with MIM or MIJ Fender P-basses who wouldn't like that Celinder. I would be willing to put a Peavey USA Millennium against a Lakland 55-94 or a Cirrus against a Fodera or Ken Smith.
