I'm willing to bet they got the idea for it from back to the future. You know...flying across the room when you strum a string and such. Perfect for if you're training to be shot out of a cannon in a circus.

If that's the same rig Ampeg had going around to shows a few years
ago- Its just 2 300w SVTs combined for the head-
wouldn't that be underpowering that cab?-
If ya blew it up- How much would UPS charge to send it back to Ampeg?
  6. its's nice stuff....... for a giant or cyclops :hyper:

That is a new one, the other one from 10 or so years ago was sold to a distributor who just couldn't live without it..... The previous one was 32 10", this one they made up with 36 so that it would be "bigger" than the other one, but the other one was a double stack, 2 x 16 10".

We got the shortest guy in the place to stand in front of the original version holding a short neck bass, which made for an interesting picture.

As for power, the head has two SVT power amps in it, for 600 watts. Probably is underpowered, it would work OK with maybe 2500 watts! Doesn't matter, if you stand out in front of it with "only" the 600 watts, it literally does flap your clothes.

We did get some inquiries as to the dealer pricing etc...........
  11. Now I just need a nice pair of platform shoes... :p
  12. How about these? Sorry about the tiny picture.

Geeze, it's like I have a rep for owning a ludicrous number of cabs, or something... :p

Unfortunately, something THAT big is sure to be noticed by the wife!

So you could run four of these heads into the one cab. Cool.
Finally, the instant cure for cronic constipation!

I think Ampeg has an inferiority complex.

Here it is at Guitar Center in Hollywood! And also, this is my Talkbass debut, seeing as how this is the first picture of myself I have ever posted (how embarassing ;) ). Anyways, it is 36x10 and has 2 SVT350's wired together. It is fully functional, but the SVT's just aren't quite powerful enough for the bass. Some of the employees there plugged a guitar into it aswell and said it sounded awesome. I am still blown away! Keep in mind that I am only 5'8"!
