The cheap strings: Everly Bass Rockers

    Anyone ever tried these strings? How would you say they compare, brightness and ability to cut-through wise, with other more expensive strings?

    I had a set of Bass Rockers on my 4-string about 8 months ago. They seemed similar to D'Addario XL's to me. The Everly's might have been slightly brighter and tighter than the XL's when they were new, and they lasted about the same amount of time. I liked the Everly Bass Rockers, but I recently found out that DR Lo-Riders are the strings for me. If you like nickel round-wounds, give 'em a try. They're pretty cheap, and the package looks pretty cool :cool: :) .
