    Agreed.... :)

I've never owned a 'bad' Spector.... of any price! :bassist:
  3. I had one! It looked very very cheap but the sound and playability was good.

Moreover I've never had such a lightweight bass. A pleasure to play all night long!

I use my korean spector on every recording ive posted on guitarwar this year, and i constantly get tone compliments, not to mention the fact that it articulates very well for a low cost bass. tappins and slappins both come out very well, and it has a super versatile range of finger tones. much love for the cheapo spectors.

You talking about the OLP Spector fakes? I also know there is now a 'Performer' series that has a lower price than the NS2000Q's. I think the Q's are as low as I'd go. :eyebrow:
  6. nope, these are the $399 Spectors that Guitar Center (calif) seems to recently have gotten a large shipment of.

there was a $1399 Spector i was comparing to, and while it certainly had that Spector quality feel, i prefered the cheaper one.

Those have appeared at the GC in my neck of the woods as well. I'm afraid to check them out because I know I'd take home a fiver in a minute.

A "cheapo" Spector is now my main bass. I have a NS2000 Q4 I got at Guitar Center for $319. It's got a nice quilted maple top. You might check and see if your GC is getting any more Q4's, mine was on closeout.

I like this bass better than anything under $1000 I've ever played.

Get yourself to GC and buy a Spector!!! :hyper:

I started with the Performance one with the Chrome hardware. It rocked. I got a Q it rocked even more. I got a Euro it is beyond rockin'! Next is an NS-4. I can't decide which is more important, my basses or my wife. It's a tough choice.

Getting my 6er Friday. I'll let you all know.
  16. The older CR models with the dot inlays and EMG preamps can be had at nice prices too. I recently bought a NS4CRFM in amber stain for $499!
  17. $499?!@?!?!??#$#!$

    nice catch!

i almost bought a black stain performance yesterday.

but, i tried sanity, my mtd 635 should arrive shortly and disarm my current gas attack.

    still want one.

tuners are the only issue i have with the performance, and they weren't THAT bad.

    great bass!

I tried one of the neck through $499 ones out. The neck honestly didn't feel right in my hands.

Besides the MM SUB they really push those Spectors in their mail catelog things they automatically sign you up for. Those are the only two basses they often show in there.

The Legend now, I want to try one of those out. They look nice.
