What exactly is this ?? Did the String break and the photo caught it at the right time , or something like that ??
Why crazy & why cool?
crazy because i had to play a song without the E string
cool because everybody now knows me as the bassist who broke an E string and still finished the song
why have you made 2 threads about this now ;<
oh ****... i forgot! i thought that was in another forum =\
but that was about the strap, this is about the string
aye still pretty impressive i've been playing 4 years now i think and never broke a string bound to happen soon i guess lols
I love the picture.
the first string i ever broke was an E, but doing it live and finishing the song is damn impressive. that pic looks awesome btw.
great picture, not that crazy though. ive broken a few E's and a low B or two in my time as a bass player. rock and or roll.
very rock & roll!
that picture has some serious character.
You have loooooooooong fingernail beds, sir.
Yeah ... ha ha! whats with those fingernails Mister? But that busted 'E' is quite the story to keep passing on to those who would care and understand.. I seriously thought such a thing would be almost impossible to happen due to the inherant strength of that string.
I broke the E string at rehearsal once...it's not fun transposing an octave up, and doesn't sound to great through an octave down
I broke a B and an A on the same song and finished the set (2 more songs). It was brutal, we were playing some avant jazzy stuff with lines and all, a real brain bender.
Looking at that picture actually feels like your getting punched in the stomach. It just gives me that "oh crap....." feeling.
If this is the craziest thing that has happened to you I would recommend sex on a chair lift.
And its probably cold so you can call shrinkage right off the bat.
