The Cult- Beyond Good and Evil

  1. anyone else bought this album?

I think it's brilliant- a return to "Sanctuary"-era Cult, excellent production and Ian Astbury toning down the "cock-rock" elements that got a bit much on Sonic Temple.

good crunchy bass sound on it - sounds like a P-bass to me.

Martyn Lenoble (ex- Porno for Pyros) is on some of the tracks.

I picked it up when it came out...it's an ok album in my opinion but nowhere near as good as their early stuff. I also saw them on the Beyond Good and Evil tour. They were decent..best part was seeing Sorum playing drums...

  3. yay! a reply 2 years later!:D

I have to admit I'm not as keen on this album as before- the mix is a bit muddy and over-heavy, and tiring to listen to.
I still listen to "Rise" , "Nico" and "True believers" quite often though.

this must be one of the worst-promoted albums ever- I only knew it was out when I saw it in a shop:rolleyes:
