well folks I have changed my mind about keeping my second stingray in a little while me and some firiends are planning on dousing the stingray with gas and lighting it up in the fire pit. we are planning on taking some swings at it first with a some lead pipes and stuff then it will be off to the pit. damn i hate stingrays i cant believe i bought another piece of crap like that. fenders and spectors all the way people.

I'll pay for photos of you burning a Stingray (make sure we can verify what it is in the photos). I say go for it, but really do it or you are just out for attention.

Yes, I suppose trashing it is a better option than selling it to someone for a few hundred bucks.:meh: Damn them Stingrays!

I dont meen to make any fellow bass players mad in here by my stingray posts but damn the basses are just brittle and crappy sounding i hate them and i think they should stop making them and save the wood.

  13. growler571, you are a catalyst.

  14. Brittleness has alot more to do with the strings and amp you are playing it through.

  15. Either you just want attention, or you are going to ruin something that only you hate. Please be mature about it and at least sell it if not give it away. There's a guy on here that's gonna give away a stambaugh for no paticular reason and you think it's funny just to trash a quality instrument? There's probably thousands that would love to play bass but can't afford to buy one. Just think before you act.

Why did you buy it if it's brittle and you hate the sound?

why not make some money off it? ill buy it from you and send you some charred wood, melted plastics and melted electronics if you want. i'd even send you aforementioned remains in a vase and you could put it on your shelf or rig as a solemn reminder never to buy a stingray again. :D

  19. wait a second why the hell did you buy a second one if hate them so much ? did you throw your first one into flames also ?

That might be the best thing to do with Stingrays, except at $4.50 a gallon, it's a waste of gas.
