There might be one right there in front of my eyes... If so, sorry but I can't find it. But I'd like to know if either TB or another site on the net has compiled a good "do it yourself" guide to setting up a bass. So far, I've always had my setups done by a luthier. But I'd like to see if I can't try my hand at it. -Beyond changing the strings, raising or lowering the action and the pups, I'm pretty much clueless. (I'm not even sure exactly what I should aim for when moving the string saddles on the bridge forward or backward... ) Thanks.
I found this website from another TB'er, Treena Foster. I feel it has the best info: Bass Set-up link fixed -Mike
Try this one. I think the link above got mangled. http://www.garywillis.com/pages/bass/bassmanual/setupmanual.html
