    I thought "hard tact" meant trying to figure out which embarrassing facts about your girlfriend will get you a quick kick in the shins when you bring them up at the dinner table.

    :) I think you mean "hard tack" which is nothing like crumpets. Crumpets are like what we call English Muffins (though not the same).

    to me Thomas' can do no wrong (have all y'all tried their toasting bread.. OMG)

    but I have a few family got left behind in the Motherland across the pond.... They giggle and carry on when we served them English Muffins when they came to visit :eyebrow:
