Has anyone tried one of these out? I'm digging my four string, and I kind of feel like trying out the lower headroom. My local GC doesn't carry the five string versions, so I haven't been able to try them out.

I've played one several times in a local store and I'm impressed. It is not as tonally versatile as a SR5, but it can at least get a Stingray sound and a P-Bass type of sound. It can probably get more if I had time to really work it. I'm seriously considering the SUB-5 and a few others. I'll be glad when I can take one home.

Woah, Dr. Cheese, I just noticed you're from STL. What store have you been trying them at?

I've checked out the one at Mo's Music in Edwardsville. The one at the Guitar Center in Bridgeton is pretty beat up. It was missing s knob and I think the battery was dead last night when I was in there.
