Ever heard or seen em? The MP3s are pretty damned killer.
woohooo, that rules!
mmmm Mel, Steve Heiress, what a hottie
the only bad thing is that the drummer uses double bass...ugh..NOT IN A MAIDEN TRIBUTE PLEASE!!!!!
Singer is a hottie.
hey, there's always clive
uhh john... every pic i have ever seen of clive he has been with a single bass kit.... pretty much the same as nicko's, without a few toms and cymbals...
I see the guitarist knows what he's doing.(Mesa head) Anyway, haven't you ever heard of a double bass pedal. Very much a possibility to this question. Unless clive has a really really really fast foot!
yes ive heard of a double pedal... my drummer had one...
i didnt think double pedals were around till the mid 80's though, and clive left in 83 or so...
i never saw a slave pedal on his kit
Hey, they're good! The original's still the best, though.
First time I hear about them. Thanks for the link. I wonder when some threads will start if Mel uses two or three fingers to pluck
Up the maidens!
Hot damn! That Harris' signature P-Bass just looks better and better every day
Neither Clive nor Nicko ever used double bass drums or pedals. Both of them have/had amazing right feet. And listening to any of the Clive stuff, there is no mistake that he was a single bass player. Nicko on the other had was the master of doing a triplet with one foot. I learned how to do it too, but not with the speed and accuracy that he does it. On the latest IM CD, you'd swear he was usuing a double pedal, but he's not. The man just has an insane right foot.
Poor Clive. Hope the MS doesn't get to him too badly.
oh, my bad. i saw them open for priest on the killers tour, and i coulda sworn that he had a double bass kit. yeah, he was awesome.
no doubt. his stuff was really cool, i thought.
wow...you saw the killers tour?? AWESOME!!!!
Unless he was using dave holland's kit, it was a single bass kit...
man, killers tour....*grumble*
Wow.....that bass looks HUGE on that girl!!!
yeah, it was killer. except for dianno. i was never into his ...uh... "style". they demolished priest. i mean, i like kk downing and glen tipton well enough, but maiden stopped those suckers _flat_ on that tour whew.
I lived in Holland in the mid-80's, we used to see bills with Priest/Maiden all the time - Priest/Maiden/Saxon was always one of my favs. They all kicked ass!
What do you guys think the best IM cd is? Which do you think has the best bass playing?
7th Son of a 7th Son.
Probably one of the (Clive) Burr albums (the first three).
