I pretty much swallowed the Kool-Aid. For whatever reason I totally succumbed to his spiel, got conned into buying a dizzy tone version five first. I became instantly and irrevocably enamored.

    DIZZY TONE V5 rehoused
    DIZZY TONE V6
DIZZY TONE V1, pedalboard friendly enclosure
    UNI-DRIVE
    BUZZ TONE.

About 7:50 into this video is the DIZZY TONE V6

:50 into this video is the DIZZY TONE V5 rehoused

I’m watching the new FuzzFace versions on Reverb, weird shape, still I’m drawn.

  4. Great videos!!! I was talking to Bob from Jext Telez right before I started this thread and he told me the White pedal is great on bass so I'm gonna have to get one. You're number 2 btw :)

    You mean one of these?

I’ve got one coming to me... I bought ProtonLenny’s last night.

Yes, that one. I had a normal pedalboard version which didn't have enough bass, but I hear this one does. I thought Proton's price was too high, but I'm glad you snagged it. Looking forward to hearing what you think when you test it out.

That’s a snazzy board. I get a powerful, visceral response to my DizzyTone.

I just took advantage of the Memorial Day 15% off sale. A blue Jext Face is coming to me.

I used to have an early 70’s Dallas Arbitor silicon(BC109??) Fuzz Face that I sold before I knew what a blender was. I loved the sound and reaction of that pedal, it just cut too much bottom.

I don’t think I will need a blender for my Jext Face, but if I do now I have one.

  15. Too cool! You’ll have to tell us how it sounds with bass. The blue one is the normal gain, correct?

Yes, the blue is the lower gain structure of the two. I have my high gain, in your face, territory covered many times over. I have come to expect great things from these folks, at any gain.

I left work early today because

Definitely the oddest shape/size pedal I’ve owned.

I can see why they needed this enclosure though

I’m going to play through it now.

Jext Face is my cuppa tea. It is very "smooth" and, with the toggle to the left, reminds me very much of the early 70's Dallas Arbiter I used to have, even though mine was silicon. Definitely a little thin on the bottom end, (which is why I sold the Dallas Arbiter), until you flip the toggle to the right, then oomph, there it is, all that bottom that I love so well. It lets all the nuance and variation in your source tone out the other end, only with a very nostalgic coat of fur.
I am very happy with the low gain version, as it's only fuzzy from about 2 o'clock to max on the gain. Below that you get a real nice OD feel, somewhat like the 5th gear in my mind.
It's already on the board for tomorrow's party jam, had to remove three pedals to make it fit. I feel certain I will be rehousing this, as it will be in heavy rotation, and I want more options for board placement.

I have three DizzyTones, one of them this exact model, and I’m struggling to avoid buying this, considering the price. I don’t imagine it will last long.
