Just thought I'd share this cool pic of my Leo Trio:

    1978 Fender (franken) P
    '75 RI (MIJ) Jazz
    '87 EB Musicman Sabre

  2. Dude, you need a G&L so you can hold the "Four Aces of Basses" ...

Not so sure Leo would have approved of insturments not made in the US (or at least close by)

No sir, 100% original. I even have the original tolex case (also in great shape), the paper work, tools, cleaning, etc that came with her new. ;)

Nice! Come to think of it I have somewhat of a Leo trio of my own, though I think each one of them is a variation that Leo Fender wasn't actually associated with. Would you count this threesome - Precision V, Stingray 5 HH, and MIA Jazz Deluxe V fretless?

I'll have to take some pictures tonight anyway. I don't have any of the whole family.

I could make too many Leo trios with my herd. Given the plethora of G&L models I have along with a P and the Sabre.

    Nice bunch Quad.

Cool pic... Rasing it up a notch :D...Since this is TB, someone here has to have a Leo Trio that Leo physically could've touched... This would include...

    50's or early 60's Pbass
    an early 60's Jazz bass
    70's or early 80's Sabre/Musicman
    80's G&L

Just to make it more challenging

I have pics of a Leo trio but I can't compete with the originals

Argh! I can only have a Leo duo then.
  15. +1 on my call out for the "Four Aces of Basses" that being:

    • A Pre-CBS Precision
    • A Pre-CBS Jazz
    • A Pre-EB Music Man, and
    • A G&L

If someone can step up with a pic of all these--ORIGINAL, not RI--in one shot, I will humbly bow and genuflect.

    And probably cry and drool.
  16. BTW: Quad, Nino & Spidey ... nice Leo Trios, thanks for the pics.

To keep it 100% Leo era the G&L has to be pre-BBE or prior to 91. Hell to be sure 90 or earlier.

+1 on the four aces. Anybody who can show us the goods must surely be a king (or queen) amongst us mere mortals. :bassist:
