i just got a Jay Turser JTB134 Semi Hollow Arch Top Bass Guitar that looks great, but the strings that come with it are incredibly thin and punchy while im used to playing on a fender jazz that really kept that low end for the type of music i play, a throwback new wave/80s dance rock vibe, with a newer feel (the killers, franz ferdinand). so its really killing all the octaves that i have to use with its amount of punch and buzz, which i guess isnt really bad, but the low end just is non existant. i do know the neck is much shorter than the jazz, so thats also part of the problem, and the bass itself is has a high amount of treble...but does anyone have an idea on what strings i should use to get the great low end that i used to have?
