Ohh, I love that piece! The cello part in the fourth movement always sends chills down my spine.

Yeah the concert was a blast! I've been a rock player for most of my life, and playing with an orchestra has been an eye opening experience. Very similar to the day that I realized there was more to a bass line than the root motion. I'm a big fan of the 3/8 in the third movement, it's hard to keep from waltzing my bass halfway across the stage.

That grading scale is interesting. The cappuzzi, IMHO, is 10x the piece that ANY of the Vivaldi sonatas, or Marcello Sonatas for that matter, are. The character of the Capuzzi is the hardest thing to nail, as in the sonatas, the character is pretty up front. But the idea of the grading system is pretty cool, is there anything like it in the US? What purpose does it serve?
