I admit to the enjoyment in knowing there is a middle finger on the G&L headstock ... directed at, oh, one may only guess.
For some reason, that reminds me of this (from George Bernard Shaw's play Saint Joan): THE CHAPLAIN [rising in a fury] You are a traitor. CAUCHON [springing up] You lie, priest. [Trembling with rage] If you dare do what this woman has done--set your country above the holy Catholic Church--you shall go to the fire with her. THE CHAPLAIN. My lord: I--I went too far. I--[he sits down with a submissive gesture]. WARWICK [who has risen apprehensively] My lord: I apologize to you for the word used by Messire John de Stogumber. It does not mean in England what it does in France. In your language traitor means betrayer: one who is perfidious, treacherous, unfaithful, disloyal. In our country it means simply one who is not wholly devoted to our English interests. CAUCHON. I am sorry: I did not understand. [He subsides into his chair with dignity].
Oh hey the strap for the Acinonyx arrived in today's post (it's more brown than the photo suggests) {} Here beyond coffee the second and on to cappuccino the first
How does it feel? The photo made it seem sort of un-supple, so I'm wondering if it's softer than it looks. Looking forward to seeing it support a cheetah! I have my strap picked out, but I promised to wait until after the bass is in my hands before placing a strap order.
Rather soft quiet Charlie as a good bass strap should be. Contours to my shoulder nearly as well as one of my fabric straps. Already treated in my left shoulder for arthritis and kin, so I'm fairly conscious of a strap's ability to do the job as expected. This one looks to meet all my high standards quiet Charlie
I tried to buy one of their tees, but they wuz sold out. Too late yet again. Though I checked just now, and they'll take my money with a quoted serveral-weeks shipping time, but alas the mood has left me. I shall content myself with my "ITMFA" and "Bad Dude" tees, and Mrs. Tango's "Nasty Woman" and "Nevertheless, She Persisted" tees.
Bro,' I have no idea what they are referring to. I heard WWII Nazi singing and I was outta there. Too young, me?
My, that is lovely! My pro musician buddies in LA all use "clam" for screwups. I adopted it myself, as I am quite experienced with the screwing up. Well, here in Humboldt County California...HAHAHAHA!!! There is so much weed here...So. Much. Weed. Oddly, most of what might be in my possession, were I admit to indulging in such a thing, was grown in Santa Cruz. Never seek out the Hoff. Hey, @the harp unstrung! You watching/listening to spring training? This Padres fan is quite excited! Bass-related news? Er, well, I have none. I did finally have a decent practice session the other night. That's about it.
