Serviceberry?? Aw geeze, I thought he said Tackleberry.
A purple portfolio, too.
Really fine leather worker made these ~ 21 years ago. Snagged the purple one, and a smaller orange one, along with a few pen cases before she closed shop. In search today of my black leather A4 folio, found a blue pleather A4 folio with work notes undisturbed since 1994. Kinda interesting, kinda not. Notes to myself for a presentation I gave. My checklist for a postscript conversion. I did this? Yawn.
Got any good ones?......
I'm blaming it on trash pandas.
In this house the purple portfolio and case are completely NON-mediocre.
I've told you I have a purple car, right?
THIS is the type of stuff I wish I could have played back in school days "Stage Band".
35 years later I am still too 1109.
Love the shadow of the upright. I assume Andy is conducting. His subtle differences in cues for the horn stabs...just fabulous. Reminds me a bit( quite a bit) of The Duke.
Good morning everyone. Coffee is on.
Well! My social services have been canceled, because I'm living in Ingelheim. I have to officially move in, and refile.
Since Germany is so fond of bureaucracy, and I don't fit neatly into their designated pigeonholes, I have a feeling that this will take a while.
(my schooling was IT in the early 80s, but I haven't worked with computers since the 90s. My profession as skiptracer doesn't exist in Germany, and is difficult to explain. I'm 3 years away from "retirement," and schooling would eat that much in a heartbeat. I'm disabled, but they say I can still work up to 6 hours/day with a whole slough of restrictions.)
Meanwhile, life goes on.
Stay fresh, cheese bags!
Happy Lark's Tongue in Aspic Good Morning
Perhaps this is due to German bureaucracy.
A great example of sort-of-post-cold-war-glasnost:
The outer finish on my well-worn, "preferred" folio recently gave up the ghost, and was finally rendered unusable. Either no one makes replacements, or if they have them, they're priced at ungodly levels that would only be considered by "collectors" and/or fetishists who simply cannot do with something else.
Fortunately, I'm not that deeply attached to something whose main job is to contain sheets of paper.
As close as I’m getting to any Bear here in Tennessee
And the lovely Mrs Holdsg
This old blue one is emblazoned with a former's employer's name. The company's long gone, as is my desire to do that again. I believe I have a plan.
I just recently ran across a "certificate of appreciation" for x number of "years of dedicated service" from the Former Place.
Seeing that document go crunching into the metal teeth of the shredder was just about the right amount of fun.
The man from West Country with the Lotus Esprit in BRG who founded that company did pretty well for himself. Well enough to dedicate his time to mountain gorillas. No Lotus for me, but did well enough to dedicate my time to bass
Why I love MiLB: Because OF COURSE there is a team called "Rocket City Trash Pandas."
Rocket City Trash Pandas
Ugh, sympathy "like." Do you think you'll give up your Frankfurt domicile, under the circumstances?
I have kind of a lot going on, and I likely should get back to it, but on my list today is finishing that reconstituted mix of the song. And I hope practicing a little. I didn't last night, and I've been under-practiced the last month or so, what with my road trip. I find that sometimes a layoff is good as it makes me think of things a little differently but the last time I practiced it was scary to note the deterioration of skills--deconditioning happens, you know? Especially with the recording, as I will learn the song I need to record but not practice otherwise in a focused way. I don't have time to do both. With finishing this mix (again), I'll be done with that whole project until I get drum tracks to work with, and that is a few weeks off soonest.
