The new Bassmans?

Discussion in 'Amps and Cabs [BG]' started by Nomadic Herder, Aug 21, 2002.

  1. I just got an e-mail from Fender telling me to go look at their bass amps page. Up pops a 300 watt tube and a 1200 watt SS Bassman head and a new 4x10 cab. Are these just the Sunn 1200 and 300T heads with Fender badges on em?

Those are definitely the old Sunn amps.

Truly sickening to see "Fender" on an exact replica of a Sunn product.

They also did the same thing with De Armond. I have yet to see their basses but they took the De Armond name of the guitars and slapped Squier on there.

They arent replicas of sunn amps. They are sunn amps. Fender owns sunn well did until they figured that they would sell more of them by putting the fender name on them(this has yet to be proven). AFAIK everything about them is identical to the older make sunn amps except the brand name.
