the Odd Couple

    Here's a pic of the rig I gigged with last weekend. Only change from the pic was that I used a Low End True Voice pre.
    Sounded great. Who knows what it sounded like in the mains :meh:
    I used the Stewart 1.2 in stereo with a power amp going to both the Schroeder and the Accugroove at 4ohms.
    I was running my effects only through the accugroove cab. The Schroeder put out a ton of low end. The Accugroove has a very sweet balanced high end. Made for a very sweet combo.

    Niice dude. how did the Low End pre compare to the RBI?

    I don't want to ruffle any feathers of RBI fans out there, but it's not for me. I thought my basses sounded better going straight through a power amp. What I like about the True Voice is that is gives you some additional dynamic range IMO without compressing or taking anything away from your original tone. I'm still playing around with a few preamps and just letting my ears decide. Your results may vary.
