I love my Hipshot A. Increased sustain, and IMO, made the tone clearer. Looks hella good, too.
finally made my decision and worked out a deal with GeneralElectric for his Olympic White/Maple P
I've always wanted a white/maple bass to pay tribute to my main strat I used to have. Can't wait
Awesome colour combination. I would know
My '72 arrived today (see pics on page one). Serial no. 3456xx. It has the holes under the pickguard for the tug bar but it is wearing a thumbrest. It is the correct thumbrest as it is the brownish/black dealy. The pickguard does not have the holes for the tug bar. Best guess is that, if it is not original, it got replaced pretty early on. It looks 70's for sure with the shielding the right spot and all. Pots are '72. Pretty lightweight too. Wearing rounds now but flats are on the menu. Pretty happy.
I think I'll join the club, it looks fun .
Here's my mid-to-late 80s MIJ 57 RI.
May I join and get a number, please?
God I can't wait to be an actual member of this thread again.
My deal with a TBer here is pending my ebay sale of my Ibanez SR505, which seems like it's taking years to process through paypal (In reality the sale ended at midnight thursday night, and I think the buyer is doing a bank transfer, so I'm hoping it gets to my account tomorrow or tuesday).
I just keep looking at his original thread in the classifieds and drooling/panting

I would be honored to join this elite group! 2001 50th Anniversary:
That light switch really blows the photo... I would have cloned it out.
Heh heh...good point, too lazy tho.
Here's my newest addition to my P-bass herd (actually got off eBay Last summer, but just started gigging with it). $501 shipping included.
Added the covers last weekend.
