    Alembicguy, suhweeeet!

That TF sig is sweet too!

  3. My MIM Lake Placid Blue P. I added the guard and bridge.

My Dad bought this bass for me around 90-91. My first bass and only bass right now. It means a lot to me and I'll always have it.

Sounds great and really speaks. P tone all around.

    lpbp.

That thing is sweet! Needs a white pickup casing though, IMO. It would look amazing.

  5. Thanks!

Haha yeah and a coil cord. Big time old school, then.

I don't play anything even remotely close to green day on this thing.
Changed the pickguard and strung it with flats. Sounds nice. Heavy as hell. Can I get a witness?

I'm going to be upgrading my MIM here shortly. Upgrading the PU/wiring (putting in a Fender '62) and adding ultralight tuners. I've got a number but I'll post some fresh pics when I'm done.

Hey, i dont know if i have to start a whole new thread for this, but since you all seem to be P bass experts, i thought i would ask...

Is the Duff McKagan P Bass any good? Any better bass in the same price range? (Cant afford any more expensive bass).

  12. Oh dang...I meant to include one of these...the '01 Anniversary curiously is string through body, one of the reasons I got it in the first place. You can really feel the bugger THRUM!

    U.K.
The one I demoed sounded great, but I didn't like the neck very much. Try one and see what how you get on with it.

I'm not a fan of signature basses too much, but I've enever tried the DM sig.

PBassFunk, my P is string through too, I love it.

  15. What model is it? Any pics?

Edit: sorry, I guess it must be the one in your sig. Nice!

Just a 2005 MIA Std. I think most MIA Std. basses are string through. There is a pic in my sig.

  20. Heres my 05' american standard. I like it except for the bridge which id like to replace with a vintage style one.[IMG]

Neck is totally different than my 62avri p bass, but its good to have two different styles.[IMG]
