Hey Marleaux Lovers!!!

and the Delano Pickups guy.. who's name is escaping me.
The Basses this year are So amazing!!! I don't know how Gerald does it..
Seriously.. They all play and sound so amazing... I might come home with 6.. : )
Just wanted to give you all a little update.. I will post pics and videos soon..
Did you try one of the Soprans?
Yeah! Picking up my Marleaux Sopran tonight in LA.
Consat 5 Custom. I am happy...
and so you should be !!!
Hows that Consat with the Hybrids ?
Been always interest ...
This is my Votan, and i love it!
The Time has come... I'll be going to Geralds workshop next week ordering my next Marleaux Bass. He'll built me another MBass, the first one ever with a high C string and 33inch scale. It will be a show instrument for the Musik Messe, so I'll get it in April. Can't wait!!!
Cool!! Can you compare it to any other Marleuxs youve played?
Actually i can't. Marleaux basses are not something you run in to everyday in Swedish stores (not where i live anyway), so this is my first Marleaux and to be honest the only one i've ever tried.
What i can say is that i have owned a lot of basses, Warwick, Yamaha, Status, Fender etc, but i've been looking for the playability and the low action the Votan gives me for about 30 years. No deadspots in the neck whatsoever and the fretjob is excellent.
The only thing i worried about was the funny looking Delano PU's, but together with the preamp they really work great. You can actually get any sound you want from them. Active, Passive, Single coil or Humbucker (serial or paralell).
Hi again to everybody,
Couple of days ago I'v run into guy who's sellin' his Marleaux Jazz5.
Gerald stoped making this model years ago and I didn't get chance to really try them out. Now I will
In the meantime here are photos of my curent baby's

Here be my Consat.
And here be my Jazz.
Sorry for the picture quality, as these came from my less than modern phone.
So here is a pic of my new MBass. Got it after the last Musikmesse in April, its a custom model with 33'' scale tuned E-C. The Body is made out of swampash the top wood is Ziricote. Souns amazing. There is a better picture up on their webside.
