I think you would need a 15.5mm string spacing to make it work.
If that's the case, you could do it with something like these:
Triple Lock Down Single String Bass Bridge

It looks like the Kahler will do it also:

Rondo offers 30" 5 stringers in both fretted and fretless, strung .45 - 125.

I'm thinking more along the lines of demand, or a lack of.

I've floated the idea of doing a Standard 4 US 32" scale conversion neck with a 1.75" nut that would be perfect for a "4 to 5" conversion.

That would allow anybody to build a 32" fiver using a standard 34" body with a narrow-spaced or adjustable bridge like the Schaller 2000.

A few nibbles so far, but no bites.

Since I've only sold one fiver in 34" scale, I'm reluctant to tool up for a true 32" using the Standard 5 MIM neck heel.

However, if there are at least five orders, I can probably get that done, too.

    Thank you!

  9. Hey Jon

    Nice very nice!

I don't recall ever seeing a medium scale 4001. I think yours might be a first - but usually when I say than another one pops up somewhere. Good work!

Thanks! She sounds good and really unique from anything else I own/have played. Pretty wide range of tones available between the two pickups with different coil-splitting options etc.

    Thanks Rick!

I'd never played a medium scale and I figured if I was going to build from scratch I might as well do something really unique, hence medium scale.

Want to make the club aware that Eastwood custom is crowdfunding a new medium scale bass based on Black Widow design from Acoustic I'm in but we need more commitments to make this happen!

  14. Hey Brad

Looks like their take on a Rickenbacker pickup in there.

I would say a little reminiscent of the Ibanez medium scaler - the GAXB 150 of a few years ago.

Ibanez HERE.png Which was of course at least vaguely reminiscent of the original Gibson EB-0 Shortie:

Eastwood are up to some really nice things!

Looks pretty cool. I would worry about that feeling an awful lot like a 34" scale with where the upper horn ends. Other than that, I'm a big fan of Eastwood basses.

I've got a medium scale bass. A Squier VM Telebass, 32" scale length. Are there numbers in this club? I can provide photographic evidence to receive a number. :D
