Thanks for this. Great family and complete professionals. They seemed extremely nice and hospitable.
That was fantastic. I loved seeing the stain being applied and the look of the headless impressed me more this time around. Nice interview at the end. Both Mike and Daniel are super cool and it's great that Daniel is involved the way he is.

My one two punch.
I had an ash neck ebony board MTD. It was very problematic. It had dead spots everywhere and other sonic issues. Mike vowed to never make another. He made another neck for my bass.
Mike has made me a 30inch scale, 24 fret, 5 string bass. Here she is.
Virgil what is that fingerboard?
Okume body, maple neck and Chechen fingerboard. Weighs 7 pounds. Has a magnetic battery, control panel and trussrod covers. Press the left corner and the cover pops up.

For Sale - MTD 635-24, Excellent Condition - Walnut on Ash Body, Tigerstripe Ebony on Maple
I was drooling over your bass on Instagram a couple of days ago I saw the triple dots on the 24 th fret and wondered if it was your MTD Virgil. I love the topless look it really lets the fingerboard shine!
That is super cool! I love short scales.
Playing my 534 to On Your Own by Lalah Hathaway. If you get a chance, get some good speakers or headphones! I'll be posting a lot more with this bass on my channel too Thanks MTD brethren.
Thanks for the vids- very nice playing! But the question is- can you play that while riding the matching skateboard and doing an ollie?
The blend knob on my 635 requires significantly more effort to turn than the other four knobs. How do I adjust that?
Two things I would try. First some pot cleaner and see if that loosens it up a little. Second, maybe you can squeeze the top section of the post slightly to see if that reduces the friction on the lower part of the post.
I ended up emailing Mike and he's going to send a new pot out.
Well that works
