    Well, actually, I was diagnosed in 87'...been hospitalized 3 times..2suicide attempts....plenty of meds...and yes...I hear voices..alot. But outwardly, I don't "show" my illness and people don't know unless I disclose. Generally, I would not disclose in this forum, but ehhh, WTH. So there you have it fellow bass players..."is there anybody out there"...:meh:

    Took guts for you to disclose. I've worked in TX facilities, and have family with the diagnosis. Cool that you're playing music and hanging in there.

    You should check out Tom Harrell. Schizophrenia has definitely taken a toll on him, but he's one of the greatest jazz musicians of our time.
