I finished it up this evening, fabricated a Pickguard, added New Chrome Tuners and Knobs. Don't have much over a $100 in this old re-built/modded Carlo Robelli Bass. Plays great and sounds fantastic. :bassist:

I love me some Walnut... If I make another bass, the body will be all wally, not just the strip done the middle

I have a solid one piece of walnut from Renegade , it's impressive but a wee heavy .

Heh, my idea would eliminate a good chunk of weight... 1.25" thick, slightly raised bridge to compensate and then shallow-ish pup routes. That's if I don't just mount a synth PuP by itself... ;)

I absolutely love it. Plays and sounds fantastic. The Walnut Satin was just the icing on the cake. I ordered a Translucent Red (it was used) and I got Walnut. I aint complaining, though.

Cool - I love mine! Is your fingerboard as dry as it looks in the picture?

Do you have a 45 deg chamfer bit? You might want to ease the corners on those hangers to prevent any potential dings on your bass necks... Don't ask me how I know...

Or even a rounding bit and then manually take care of the corners.

Your collection is unbalanced... Too many Jazz basses, you need to get more P/J, P, and MM to even it out.

Hmmm I think I see atleast 4 of those 6string toys for small children. Sell them and you got room for some more proper instruments!

New (to me) Squier 50s P in lake placid blue. Sold all my gear about 4 years ago and am in the process of reacquiring. I've wanted this particular bass/color since the Classic Vibe series came out. Got a good deal on this minty over at Reverb. I think I'll paint the pickguard black and call it good.

Yes. It was. It had sat unplayed for a while. It just had Spa treatment and looks much better now
