Nice. If that bass didn't have a volume knob, I would've said it reminds me of the Anthony Jackson signature bass.

It's actually not a volume knob - just a passive tone. Anthony is definitely one of my favorite players, but what I really wanted was a 6 string P bass.

I received this Gem from Pete in June of 2008, and it still makes me smile every time I play it. People tell me it's too pretty to play; I say the true beauty shows when its played. Click on the the photo to get a better view. It is stunning.

Yes, how fitting this pic gets posted the day I'm waiting on pics of my neck with frets...this is the neck that made me call Pete and tell him, "I want a bass with a Cocobolo fingerboard" : )..."can you help"? lol

  16. Fellow Skjold fans, I now have this wonderful Skjold 6 string for sale in the classified section. I REALLY love this bass, but I'm moving away from 6ers, so it's got to go to another good home. If you're considering the purchase of a Skjold, you may want to take a look.

It's Finland's independance day today (6th of Dec), so everybody's had the day off, and what a wonderful day it has been! Hit the gym in the morning with the guys, made gingerbread in the afternoon with my g/f, her two sisters and their significant others, "pizza night" with the guys, and finally, I came home to see this in my mailbox:

    Sexy! :D

The inlay turned out much better than I had ever hoped and then some! Thank you, Pete, for not "settling". I know it's not easy to please everyone, but I sure am grateful for you taking your time. LOVE IT! (My girlfriend really digs it as well.) :D

    Simply amazing! :):):)

I know we're not quite there yet, but needless to say I really hope she's not damaged in transit / shipping. The people responsible might not live the see the next day in that case. :D

But back on topic: love it, Pete! Really, really love it. :) I can't wait ... but I will. :D

Well, I'm soon to be in! Just picked up this sweety from Portrait of Tracey and it should be in my hands for my last gig of the year on Saturday!

I've never played one before, but I've heard and read enough gushing over the years that I've always wanted to check one out. Can't wait!!
