I would think the oppisite of gas is the inherent need or feeling like you need to sell some gear, and i may call that LUG, Lots of Unused Gear

Howzabout GIG (grass is greener) syndrome. Actually, it's intimately related to GAS. Maybe IFU (I $$$$ed up) is better, LOL.

  13. Actually, this is the pure definition of GAS... selling something for the wrong reason in order to buy something for the wrong reason that you will eventually sell for the wrong reason to buy something else for the wrong reason that you will then eventually sell for the wrong reason to buy yet another bass for the wrong reason that you will eventually.... :smug::D:bag::ninja:

  18. Actually I would have thought that the opposite of having GAS would be to be GAS free - as in when you're able to look at the classifieds section or walk in a music store and not desire any instrument.

I think I might have reached that stage with my sadowsky and my yet to be delivered fender 08' jazz V string. After I tell my wife about this purchase, I think she'll agree that I will have to be GAS free.
