This is what Grind it Out said:

So I was wondering if I could get one of those fancy Y-cables and put my Punch Factory in the loop of the Guv'nor. Would I get the same effect? I only would engage the PF when the Guv'nor's engaged. If not, I might just have to get a micro looper.

the result should change whether the loop is post or pre the eq of the effect...

yeah, if it's pre, the result should be the same as if you put the compressor in the signal chain BEFORE the Guvn'or itself...

I don't know ANYTHING about the Guv'nor and schematics in general but, noticing that the LOOP jack is between the input and the output... my instinct tells me that it is POST EQ! :D

The loop is just before the output jack, so it is post everything. A loooper would do what you want.
