    Greetings from the North,

I have a new long term responsibility arriving at the end of the month. Had I seen that Azureglo 4005 earlier the university fund may have been chopped down to a year of community college ;-)

Binary mustard 'n' ketchup burst. Looks like a Norlin-era Gibson, only with the burst extending from the middle of the body.

I’ve seen that Mapleglo 4002up for sale before, can’t remember where. It is gorgeous, but I think that’s the “ I don’t really want to sell it” price. I wish the seller best of luck, hope he’s patient.

Yeah, that 4002 has been up for sale with those same photos FOR YEARS at that price. There was a first-generation 4000 that was also for sale by this(?) owner/shop for about the same price. It's somewhat reassuring that there aren't enough fools out there to sucker into buying it at this price.

Well, most fools don’t have 25k lying around to buy a bass.....:smug: not that hard to resist, really.

  8. I work in Silicon Valley. There are lots of fools out here who can afford to blow $25K on a whim. I guess not enough of them want to play bass.

The Japanese seem to be willing to pay insane prices for Rics, maybe he should hawk it over there. Was that a special presentation model, or just a winner in the Random Gorgeously Figured Wood Lottery? Any pile of maple is going to have some flamed stuff, that one looks like it was cherrypicked from the cream.

There is a strong possibility (IMO) that that 4005 may be a totally new build. PW has made at least two others.

4001/4003 are deluxe models, but the 4002 was super deluxe--it cost as much as two 4001's. They were all creme de la creme.

i suck at bass but will never give up
It seems to me that its easier to play my 4003 with a pick versus using a pick with my P or Jazz. Is this just me?
