A little off topic. I seem to recall a website that specializes in parts and accessories for Ric basses. Are they still around ?

They're no longer a Rickenbacker dealer. Any RIC parts they have in stock are bootlegged stock from other dealers at above list price. Pick of the Ricks is an actual RIC dealer.

I like the 3001 neck finished out with triangle inlays and Grover tuners. Very unique.

Sweet old bird, never seen one with that headstock combo. Is that a crack on the neck back?

Yep. From the listing - "Sometime in its distant past, before I obtained it in 1996, the bass neck was broken near the heel. It was professionally repaired and as never given me any issues but the repaired seam is visible (see photos - more available on request)."

Dig that 4001. It’s contemporaneous to mine, which is a great instrument.

    Happy dual NBD!

    Now THAT'S an understatement ;)

Nah, I just like to collect Rickys ... And for what it's worth, I gig what I buy, very few become closet queens ... The only "problem" is there's not enough free hours in the day :)

Wow-the fretboard on that 4001 is gorgeous!
Interesting seeing the Serek next to the Cii, too.
Is the Serek body really that much larger?
