It's a nice color, what ever they call it. I'm not too thrilled with the mirror guard though.

You don't like randomly blasting people in the audience with blinding light rays?

My preference is randomly blasting people in the audience with deafening sound waves :p

I've got one around here somewhere, if you're talking about the original (not sure if there was ever another) with Michaelangelo's David holding a bass.

(I also have the So Low It Hz cassette compilation . . . somewhere.)

Got to get a frame for it. Now that we finally have the picture rails installed in the bedrooms, I can hang it somewhere. Perhaps, next to the Janet Macoska photograph of Macca that I printed years ago (same that is hanging in the National Portrait Gallery in London that I printed for her).

I'm thinking that a 4004 might be in my future - but I have a question about 4004 pickup placement: I noticed most 4004 (from pictures only, never seen one in the wild) have the neck pickup right up against the end of the fingerboard, whereas my 4003 has maybe an inch gap between the fingerboard and the pickup.
Does this lead to neck instability / potential for neck problems due to the pickup route being right in the critical area where the neck joins up with the body? I've read about such concerns on this forum but not sure which Rics that applies to.
Also, can anyone comment on the difference in sound with the pickup placement? Ideally I'd like a 4004 that sounds similar to my 4003 but with one of the transparent color finishes, simplified appointments (bridge pickup surround), and humbucking pickups.
Really appreciate any feedback - thanks in advance!
